Wedding Haiku (kind of)

In the violet
hour - winter lifts its veil
revealing…a blush

Fall tosses citron
like rice at a wedding
anointing its guests

Spring begins slowly
jade blades - - then tulips blush red
staining the bride’s mouth

Summer arrives in
saffron robes - ready to delight
the most chaste among us

  1. So, I am not sure that I should post these yet - they are not quite right/ready, but I was inspired by T-unit and Pancho. I will keep trying.

  4. Not sure why my post from yesterday is not on here, but I said this one makes me think of a scene in the woods of Japan (because of the images not because it's haiku) and girl is standing there while the seasons change all around her. I think I saw a movie like that once.

  5. Hey Pancho - I liked the way you described the scene from your mind that my pseudo-haikus created. I found it strangely funny because I have been reading a lot about a Japanese philosophy called "hara hachi bu" lately and looking at a lot of Japanese art, which I am drawn to, especially the hokusai wave, so my sub-conscious must have been "channeling" a bit of that.
