March 14

Happy  Pi Day, 3.14!  Here is a picture I took of Jimmy's beer at the Pi (note pi on the back of the glass) in celebration of...well we don't really need a reason to celebrate we were just out having beers.  Anyway, I am posting today because...drumroll and all sorts of fanfare here...April is National Poetry Month.  I thought, if we all agreed, we could aim to compose a poem each day of the month of April.  Of course, that begs the question, "What is a poem?"  It can be anything you determine is a poem, a picture, free verse,  haiku, limerick, whatever.  What do you think?  Are you up to it?

  1. I think this is a wonderful idea. Maybe we could dedicate one day to writing a poem about a topic that someone else suggests. It might be fun to see how someone takes inspiration from another person and makes it their own.

  2. I'm down.
    I also like T's suggestion.
Jess and I want to go see some poetry readings so if anybody hears anything let me know, and if I hear anything I'll let y'all know.
One last thing if anyone knows anything about getting published, I'm on a mission with a goal, but I need to find out more about getting published.

  3. Yay! I am so glad to hear that we are all willing to take the challenge. It is going to be interesting...fun...challenging...did I say interesting, yes, it is going to be very interesting. I like T-unit's idea. T-unit, do you want to organize your suggestion? Pancho, I did some research a while ago on getting published, but I think the process can be a little different based on what you are publishing. What does Squid bats mean?
